The company has been active in the public building sector for 40 years.

Matières Marius Aurenti was founded in 1982 by Marius Aurenti in downtown La Ciotat, Bouches-du-Rhône, Provence, before moving to the industrial zone for larger premises.

Initially specializing in surface cleaning, the company went on to develop techniques for protecting stone and concrete against graffiti and wear, and built public works in France and abroad: metro stations, high schools, regional hotels, bridges and more.

Thanks to this technical expertise in demanding environments, the company has become a national player in concrete treatment and protection.

For 25 years, this independent French company has pursued its constant quest for quality and innovation.

Driven by architects and the desire to break new decorative ground, Marius Aurenti developed the first millimetric waxed concrete in the late 90s. A technique that’s revolutionizing the world of decoration!

Since then, Matières Marius Aurenti has continued to play a pioneering role, creating and perfecting the finest decorative materials : waxed concretes , decorative coatings and exceptional paints, solutions for every room in the house, indoors and out, for incomparable results.

2007-2011: the company moves to the Drôme region

In 2007, the company moved from Provence to the Drôme, setting up first in Crest and then in Châteauneuf-sur-Isère, in theRovaltain eco-park near the Valence TGV station, under the leadership of its new CEO Lionel Ballet.

The new premises were built over a 4-year period to exacting environmental standards (energy efficiency, no water or air discharges, etc.).

This location brings the company closer to its fundamentals: materials, all of which are available in neighboring départements. It also enables products to bedispatched to the whole of France from a central location, notably from the A7 freeway to the south and the A43 to Switzerland and Grenoble.

On this site, as well as in the town of Romans-sur-Isère, Marius Aurenti manufactures, essentially with local products, the made-in-France waxed concrete that has given it its place as market leader and earned it a commercial presence in over 20 countries.

Thanks to its technical department, Marius Aurenti now manages prescription projects, from recommendations and follow-up with craftsmen right through to site handover, with the assurance of a ten-year guarantee. Matières Marius Aurenti offers a 15-year guarantee against cracking on its waxed concretes.
